yesterday was frickin cold in London. like, freezing cold.
walking along regents canal i took these snaps and flipped them. i think it looks kinda like shards of glass emanating from the buildings, flying into the galaxy… but maybe thats just me.

japan man Yasuda Takahiro seems to be a student, he also seems to be a graphic designer of sorts (possibly studying graphic design!?) – I can’t quite tell because his site is in Japanese. What I can tell is that i like his stuff, especially the minimal shapes with a rustic filter. they kinda feel [...]

negative space. nothingness. simple, pure, unadulterated, and often tells so much more than a great big fuck-off logo or fireball.
first off is a clock designed by Shuo Yang, it’s created in cardboard and is super eco. you can also embed photos in the centre, but you shouldnt.
then there’s the theatrical homage to negative space by [...]

dutch designer anna ter haar has created a collection of chairs called ‘buitenbeentje’ (odd man out). I’m not entirely sure if you can sit on them, as they look kinda waxy/painty.
they do look really amazing though. So simple. The stark contrast between the plain naked wood & stuffy traditional design and the blazing bright colours [...]

this is some of the work from london-based graphic designer and illustrator, Nikki Farquharson.
her ongoing project, Mixed Media Girls, gives the viewer a lot to look at and a bit of a headache, if you’ve been out the night before. bright, colourful, eclectic and totally girl-friendly these images are pretty sharp and look like they were [...]

1. make sure you look intellectual (intellectually superior/shy/pained/”i’m just fricken intellectual, ok?”). wear thick rimmed glasses. have an unflattering outfit or haircut (as long as you have already seen someone fashionable doing it). stand like a dork, front on to the camera. this is known as being “ironic”, because you are not really a dork.
2. [...]
