Aleatory Compositions by Hoagy houghton

a few people in this wonderful and diverse planet have a rare neurological condition called synesthesia. pain could be purple; the number “8″, orange; and July= bluish-green. senses are jumbled up, and subsequently they feel colour.

a unique style of music writing by hoagy houghton called “Aleatory Compositions” may or may not have anything do with such an affliction. in his project, 10 people were given a grid, 8 coloured pens and some time to go colour. notes are allocated colours, and the grid is transformed into graphical notation. looks like it would sound great. i wonder what super mario bros would sound like?
