a street artist known only as Invader, has certainly erm, cornered the art market. he’s raking it in by arranging up to 800 rubik’s cubes to create well-known works of art, which sell for as much as £20,000 per work.
so far he’s created the rubik mona lisa, the a bomb, andy wharhol’s campbell’s soup among [...]

Korean artist JeongMee Yoon explores colour trends and cultural preferences in her ongoing work “The Pink and Blue Projects”.
in her own words: “The Pink and Blue Projects were initiated by my five-year-old daughter, who loves the color pink so much that she wanted to wear only pink clothes and play with only pink toys and [...]

continuing my recent facination with paper models, I stumbled upon cubeecraft. On this amazing site you can print, fold and enjoy over 100 cube-headed characters. Most of them are iconic cartoon characters, but Obama gets a look in with a special Inauguration edition. No George W Bush to be seen; probably the most famous cartoon [...]

“In order to raise the spirits of an Italian prince burdened by the cares of his position, a musician created for him a cat piano. The musician selected cats whose natural voices were at different pitches and arranged them in cages side by side, so that when a key on the piano was depressed, a [...]

Bethan is currently studying ceramics at the RCA. she has designed these delightful bracelets for those who just love tea time. so quaint but off-set with the chunkier, “blinging” bracelet they aren’t so twee that you feel you’re a closet ceramics collector from your grandma’s era. super cute.

the 2006 Central Saint Martins grad will knit the dress on you if you allow him to do it his way. (but you might want to get yourself a flesh-coloured bra if you’re going to wear your open-knit masterpiece off the catwalk.)

richard sarson’s work has just been filed under ‘i wish i had done that’. he creates lovely pieces using simple lines, circles, colour and texture. the simple gamut of design really.
I love the way the heavy paper and timber backdrop of these photos create a brilliant dichotomy.
as is often the case, the artists own words [...]

I’ve just found ffffound, which is freaking amazing. well, being UGC and all tagged up by real people (well, those lucky enough to have invites) it could suck tomorrow… but for now it’s the coolest thing since the interweb.
Herewith is Chris Thompson’s design/photographic work. landscapes sliced apart, and trees branches transformed into blue sky, delineated [...]

no self-respecting photographer wants to have their life’s work shown in an image stock library website. getty, corbis etc are the photographer’s equivalent to a poet having his verses bought by a card manufacturer.
some of the world’s top photographers; bob miller, max forsythe, dan tierney and rolf gobbitts to name a few, joined forces with [...]

Jean-Yves Lemoigne’s photography is surreal, beautiful and thought provoking. his images range from unicorn-men in hard times, pixelated porn actresses, and regular folk hidden in the shadows. i particularly like these images from ‘the ? series’ where people are stopped in the middle of their banal existence by unknown glowing orbs. they shine a light [...]
