paper analogue synthesizers
i think i’ve clearly struck up a new fondness/obsession for ordinary objects that are fashioned to scale out of paper. it must be something about separating an object from its functional element and re-presenting it purely aesthetically. there’s something special about australian artist Dan McPharlin’s analogue syntheszers.
the paper and cardboard lends the synths a certain childlike naivity, as does like the wonder of music itself.
