richard sarson, repetitive science
richard sarson’s work has just been filed under ‘i wish i had done that’. he creates lovely pieces using simple lines, circles, colour and texture. the simple gamut of design really.
I love the way the heavy paper and timber backdrop of these photos create a brilliant dichotomy.
as is often the case, the artists own words are best. sarson on his fascination with mathematics and science:
“In mathematics and science you can eventually reach a point at which they make no sense anymore, Infinity for example, is a measurement which commonly is treated as a number yet it cannot be defined or calculated. I am fascinated by the quest for perfection and the inevitability that it is unreachable.”
