golden paper AK-47

making a postlerferguston paper AK-47 turned out to be one of the largest projects i’ve undertaken.  foolishly believing it would take around two hours to slap together i got stuck in but was soon daunted by the thousands of lines before me. each line either needed to be criped, cut, scored and folded with great precision.

two months, a blog post hundreds of hours, 4 sheets of card, an exacto knife (requiring 4 blades and subsequent bandaids), cutting board, ruller, and half a pot of  PVA glue later i was ready. ready to get out the spray mount and two jars of gold glitter to make my dream a reality.

behold the golden paper AK 47:

I’m an impulsive shopper and I just ordered one of these from Amazon Japan. Beautiful. I have done papercraft before but nothing of this scale. Time to get out the cutting boards! I used the real thing many years ago, amazing tool, terrible application. Well done, I hope mine turns out as well as yours!

Thats a fucking amazing project! When I saw some of the pictures, I thought: “Holy Shit does this piece of godness work?”
Only thing I really dislike is the fact that you spraypainted it gold…
Otherwise that is some fucking awesome work, brother!
