Committee for Lladró – Little monkey’s golden discovery
When I was in NYC I was [] <— this close to buying this little cheeky monkey when I saw him in store.
Its one of a few pieces by London designers Committee for Spanish porcelain brand Lladró’s Re-Cyclos collection and I love it.
I love how they’ve taken an existing porcelain creation and reconfigured it to add an extra layer of meaning. It gives the piece a certain 2001: a space odyssey vibe – a creature is spotted finding something that has transferred onto is own skin, into his own being – changing him forever.
