East End Arts Club – Tate The Biscuit exhibition

After a super long day at work, I was cycling past Shoreditch Town Hall to see loads of east end coolsie artsie types milling about. More than usual at least. And then it clicked, not only was it a Thursday, but the first Thursday of December!
It’s on the first Thursday of each month that us working types get to head out and see some art as the galleries and spaces are open late and lay on the booze.

The delightfully delapidated Shoreditch town hall was host to the East End Arts Club – Tate The Biscuit exhibition. Loads of illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, artist and creative types all showed off their wares in rough room after another over than 15,000 sq feet. The uniting theme of the exhibit being ‘interpretations of proverbs and phrases’. Which admitedly could have been an afterthought.

If you’re in the area, check it out. If you’re not – check out their website where you can purchase prints and originals of members of the club.

an amazing space for an exhibition.
