i used to be a fan of whistles. i was a fan when i was about 21 and had penchant for quirky, lady-like pieces and everything had to go with my boot-cut earl jeans. (EVERYTHING went with jeans back in 2001, remember?) and then i think somehow i decided that i wasn’t really a yummy [...]

blue, blue electric blue, hot pink and fringed boots!
who said boho was dead after the gold-rush of 2005? well, as fashion would have it, boho looks like it’s set for a revival, merely half a decade on.
or, maybe boho never really died. maybe it was just lying a little bit in shock after the intense [...]

while out on my usual sunday stroll down past the premises recording studio, london’s hells angels HQs and the dalston 24hour laudrette, tomagotchi and i encountered a new kind of vintage store. all the items (for men, women and babies) were arranged by colour on the single rack that ran in a circular movement around [...]

I’ve just spent the afternoon wandering from bar to bar trying to track down a copy of station magazine. Apparently issue 3 is in the wild, and it would seem that an article written by yours truly features in it.
The subject matter of said article is the morbid accessories created by Reid Peppard under the [...]

It’s been two weeks since my last post….tut tut tut. I’ve been shooting for Page Magazine so have been more than a tad busy. I’ll give you sneak peak from that shoot soon.
Back to business. I can almost see champagne sales skyrocketing now as fashion weeks across the globe has swung into action. We’ve already [...]

the paris fashion house has come up with this collection of fantastical beauties. what i love most, apart from the drama of each costume (and i do mean costume in the original sense of the word, not as in fancy-dress costume, although these could possibly double as fancy-dress, dare i say it)… anyway, what i [...]

well, this is what she wore yesterday, which i think is pretty cute!
nice one katie.
i dig the sequin jacket big time and the fact she is wearing it during daylight hours. rules are there to be broken, i say! those boots are looking very handsome too.
on whatkatiewore, you can take a click on the wilder [...]

le parisienne designer, gaspard yurkievich has caught my eye… his designs are all soft fluid movement and ultra-feminine silky-softness. and the colour-palette, oooh the colour palette. it’s all skinny latte, with a dollop of extra creamy cream and caramel sauce on top, with modern black trimmings (and we all know how much i like black)… [...]

he was known for his eccentric flamboyance, rebellion and impeccable tayloring.
we wish his family well and hope they find comfort at this difficult time.

vogue is here to answer even the most apparently superficial questions of modern living. if you’re curious as to what the little miss tom-boy-pony-girl formerly of east london is up to in terms of her wardrobe choices for the month of Feb, you should have a squiz at this.
agreed, a million times kabillion blogs out [...]

who ever said we needed a new black? black is always and forever the only black you’ll ever need.
and as demonstrated by the cool and lovely giorgia, as snapped by frenchie’s finest garance dore, black-eyeliner never really dates. the smudgier the better.

You might cop a few stares being a green thumb after dark. However, any fashion photography that has been executed in a way that is as good as the concept itself, is a winner in my book. This is a great shoot for Vogue by photographer: Raymond Meier and fashion stylist: Elissa Santisi.
