for the uninitiated, ross kemp is a uk tough guy. he puts himself into the line of fire to record edgy documentaries on somalian pirates or POWs in Afghanistan.
kemp folds blog features loads of images of him, folded. Hilarious!

twitter on paper is as an intriguing beast and a brilliant idea. for absolutely no money, mr sam potts will – on request – select a random tweet, write it onto paper, and post it to you.
that’s all there is to it.
you can select a specific tweet to be posted to you (or as a [...]

Kyoko Okubo’s small, gentle figures are meticulous crafted from washi, the traditional paper of Japan.
Her tiny ’symbolic self-portraits’ are simply beautiful. each still piece given a sense of time and of a greater story being told.

helen’s work takes me back to the days of simple pleasure- my childhood.
her fold-em-up-and-cut-em-out creations are all completely original and all delightful to behold.
and they echo the folky, romantic child-like experience of the world like picture story books and cartoons.
i am so deeply in love/awe with her work i could have put EVERY SINGLE ITEM [...]

making a postlerferguston paper AK-47 turned out to be one of the largest projects i’ve undertaken. foolishly believing it would take around two hours to slap together i got stuck in but was soon daunted by the thousands of lines before me. each line either needed to be criped, cut, scored and folded with great [...]

continuing my recent facination with paper models, I stumbled upon cubeecraft. On this amazing site you can print, fold and enjoy over 100 cube-headed characters. Most of them are iconic cartoon characters, but Obama gets a look in with a special Inauguration edition. No George W Bush to be seen; probably the most famous cartoon [...]

i think i’ve clearly struck up a new fondness/obsession for ordinary objects that are fashioned to scale out of paper. it must be something about separating an object from its functional element and re-presenting it purely aesthetically. there’s something special about australian artist Dan McPharlin’s analogue syntheszers.
the paper and cardboard lends the synths a [...]

with the old version you could have gotten killed. with the new (and improved) one, you only have to watch out for paper cuts and excess glue inhalation.
design troupe postler ferguson describes these 1:1 paper kit AK47s as bringing ‘the contradictory experience of weapons into the home’, the aim being to demonstrate that they are [...]

a delicious snack from japan. origami fast food.
although, it might not be that fast (it’d take you a few minutes to make), and might not quite be food- but i’m going to use my artistic license in describing this one.
at least for £4.13 (rate dependent) you get 16 pieces of lovely paper, rather than three [...]
