These hand blown crystal & LED lamps from Pieke Bergmans are bliss. I’ve always worried about the prospect of light bulbs glowing white-hot and melting into the room… perhaps this particular fear came into fruition for me after witnessing David Cronenberg’s videodrome.

In art and design as with music, it’s usually what is left out rather than added that makes the most impact. simplicity lets notes and ideas breathe. this piece of work ‘The Wall’ was created in 1964 by Michelangelo Pistoletto and pretty much takes this to the nth degree.
